FAQ

If you have any questions, concerns, or queries, drop them here and I will do my utmost to answer them for you!

COMMUNITY INFORMATION
[community profile] schoolisin is a community for (usually multi-day) events! What this means is that whenever Re feels like running a thing, she will advertise for sign-ups.

➠ Teams are flexible and will change if the community is reused for any future games or events.

➠ The community and everything related to it will be CLOSED between events, with no exceptions; characters do not hang out in the School and there will be be no extended fallout or nebulously timed mingles. If you want to find out what's happening and when, check out the schedule.

➠ Regarding disclosure! While I will always put up an event specific info post (which can be found at the very top of this journal), I might not always fully disclose the nature of the event and its rules. This will vary depending on a number of factors, with ;D hilarity ;D being the most important. IF you have access to information that the rest of the players don't, for whatever reason, please keep it to yourself. Surprise can be part of the fun!

IN-CHARACTER INFORMATION
WHAT ARE STUDENTS
➠ Regular player characters will be known as Students.

➠ Most events run here will require teams! The total number of teams and slots will vary, but nine times out of ten, potential players will be asked to sort themselves. For more information, please see this page.

WHAT ARE INSTRUCTORS
➠ Instructors are the player character antagonists! Not all events will require them, but when they're needed, sign-ups can be found here. A character that was on a regular team in one event can be an Instructor in the next, and vice versa; the only time a character is ever locked into their role is during the events themselves.

➠ They will generally have the advantage over the regular PCs, both in terms of equipment and in powercap. However! They will never be as powerful as the gamerunning NPC.

➠ They will not be available to give out "quests" or "missions".

➠ More information will be available for perusal on the event-specific information page, which can always be found at the top of this journal.

SETTING MECHANICS
➠ If you can't find it on one of the info pages, please ask before assuming that it's there anyway! This post is a good place for that.

➠ Only the gamerunning NPC has power over revivals.

➠ Healing is mildly accelerated, with a basic guideline of: one to two days for a minor injury, three to four for a moderate injury, and five or more for a serious one. If you lose a limb, appendage, or anything along those lines, you're SOL -- they won't regrow. The potential for infection will also be very real; characters will still need medical attention if they're hurt!
